Alireza Gholamian
Alireza Gholamian Born in 1999, Alireza Gholamian is an Iranian composer and Tar performer based in Tehran. He began his musical career by playing the Tar and studying Iranian classical music at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Tehran University. Alireza continued his studies in composition under Karen Keyhani and Ardavan Vossughi, participating in numerous workshops and masterclasses. In November 2023, he was accepted into the Horizon Étendu Composition Academy, where he was awarded a full scholarship. There, he worked with renowned Polish composer Lidia Zielińska and is currently working with Maurizio Azzan; he also had private masterclasses with Alberto posadas and Stefano Gervasoni. Alireza has worked with ensembles such as Ensemble Suono Giallo, mdi ensemble, and the Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble. His works have been performed both in Iran and internationally at events such as the Unerhörte Musik Festival in Berlin, Sound of Wander in Milan, the Philharmonic Chamber Hall in Moscow, and the International Digital Kunst Festival Stuttgart 2023.
