Welcome, Pink Noise Agency!
JACK is thrilled to be joining the family of artists on Greg Brown's roster at Pink Noise Agency, some of whom we already count among our cherished friends and advisors. As Austin describes, “at the heart of our newfound connection with Greg is the undeniable fact that he gets what we do, loves the music, and believes in the impact of perception-altering musical experiences.”
Pink Noise Agency (PNA) is a new boutique artist management organization serving innovative, inventive, and thoughtful individuals, ensembles, and projects. Rooted in the belief that collaboration, cooperation, and community are essential to a thriving artistic ecosystem, we work with artists who build on a foundation of excellent performance practice and seek the creation of new work as an act of humanity and reciprocity among those present with the work. Rather than the old model of the composer-as-auteur, where a performer's role is primarily to execute the composer's vision as closely as possible, PNA seeks out partners who see the compositional process as an exchange of possibilities. This translates providing support for artists to craft these experiences. Primarily through booking, tour services, and project management, they also seek to connect artists with the best minds in promotion, public relations, record labels, and other creative professions.
From Greg: “I am honored and overjoyed to be working with JACK Quartet. Chris, Austin, John, and Jay have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the deepest levels of musicianship and artistic sensitivity. JACK fosters an inclusive community of musicians and composers via their residency at Mannes and the New School, their own JACK Studio program, and ongoing partnerships with New Music on the Point, Banff Centre, and the University of Iowa. We've gotten to hear JACK in the concert hall, in DIY-style venues, in total darkness, on their GRAMMY-nominated recordings, and in community with others. Their curiosity is abundant - I can't wait to see what they discover next!”
