Santiago Beis

Santiago Beis is an Uru-Brazilian composer, pianist, audio designer, and producer. Beis has collaborated with ensembles such as Left Coast Chamber Ensemble, [Switch~ Ensemble], the Divertimento Ensemble (IT), Mizzou NME, Orquestra de Câmara da Cidade de Curitiba, Ensemble Nova Camerata, Ensemble Móbile, Quarteto Brasiliana, UM2UO Percussion, Orquestra à Base de Sopro de Curitiba, among other groups. Prizes include the XXII Funarte Prémio de Composição Clássica, IV Bienal Música Hoje, and the 2021 Sinquefield Composition Prize. As a performer, Beis has recorded several albums, including “Universom” (Inpartmaint. Inc Japan 2016). Beis forms a live improvisation duo with Yoshiaki Onishi with the OnishiBeis Duo. As a producer, Beis organized workshops in brazil for Marcos Balter, Paulo Rios Filho, Alex Buck, Alexandre Torres Porres, Martin Herraiz, Mariana Carvalho, and Mossa Bildner, among others. Currently, Santiago is a graduate student at The School of Music of the University of Missouri.
