Toykan Efe Kahraman

Toykan Efe Kahraman was born in 1999 in Izmir. He began his composition studies in 2018 with Mehmet Can Özer at Yaşar University. His works have been featured in various festivals, including the Sesin Yolculugu Young Composers Festival (Turkey), VIII.IMCNM Course Contrast Festival (Ukraine), Basklarinet Festijn (Netherlands), Izmir New Music Days (Turkey), Festival DME (Portugal), and KNM Contemporaries 2022 (Germany). His compositions have been performed by artists and ensembles such as Fie Schouten, Heni Hyunjung Kim, Diskant Ensemble, Ensemble Nostri Temporis, Ensemble Handwerk, Collective Lovemusic, Ensemble KNM, and Les Percussions de Strasbourg.

Kahraman has had the opportunity to work with Marco Stroppa, Raphaël Cendo, Oscar Bianchi, Helena Tulve, Vassos Nicolaou, Anna Korsun, Samir Odeh-Tamimi, Valerio Sannicandro, and Jaime Reis. Currently, he is pursuing his master's degree studies with Füsun Köksal at Yaşar University.
